"SELFIE FEVER.....!!!"

A photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social media.

Photographic self-portraiture flourished in the 1970s when affordable instant cameras birthed a new medium of self-expression, capturing uncharacteristically personal insight into otherwise conservative individuals and allowing amateurs to learn photography with immediate results. This practice transitioned naturally across to digital cameras as they supplanted film cameras around the turn of the millennium.

The first known use of the word selfie in any paper or electronic medium appeared in an Australian internet forum on 13 September 2002.

The concept of uploading group self-taken photographs to the internet, although with a disposable camera and not a smartphone, dates to a webpage created by Australians in September 2001, including photos taken in the late 1990s.

As early as 2003, Italian media artist Alberto Frigo started photographing every object his right hand uses. The life long project resulted in the first categorized collection of selfies showing the artist every time he brushed his teeth, every time he put on deodorant etc.

Tips To Reduce Weight............

There are many ways to lose a lot of weight fast. However, most of them will make you hungry and unsatisfied. If you don't have iron willpower, then hunger will cause you to give up on these plans quickly.

The plan outlined here will:
  • Reduce your appetite significantly.
  • Make you lose weight quickly, without hunger.
  • Improve your metabolic health at the same time.
Here is a simple 3-step plan to lose weight fast.

1. Cut Back on Sugar and Starches:

The most important part is to cut back on sugars and starches (carbs). The low-carb group is eating until fullness, while the low-fat group is calorie restricted and hungry.Cut the carbs, lower your insulin and you will start to eat less calories automatically and without hunger.
2. Eat Protein, Fat and Vegetables:
Each one of your meals should include a protein source, a fat source and low-carb vegetables. Constructing your meals in this way will automatically bring your carb intake into the recommended range of 20-50 grams per day.
3. Lift Weights 3 Times Per Week:
You don't need to exercise to lose weight on this plan, but it is recommended. The best option is to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Do a warm up, lift weights, then stretch.

Dad Slits 13 Years Old Daughter’s Throat For Spending Too Much Time On Social Media

A 41-year-old man identified as Joi has been arrested in Phatthalung, Thailand for inflicting serious pain on his 13-year-old daughter.
The incident occurred after argument ensued between Joi and his daughter over the amount of time she was spending on Facebook and other social media platforms.

The suspect slit her throat and then locked her in a rented house in Phetchaburi’s Muang district.
According to Komchadluek, Joi was arrested at a checkpoint in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Thap Sakae district while trying to flee with his youngest daughter.
When questioned, Joi told police he attacked the girl out of rage after they argued about her spending too much time on Facebook and social media platforms.
However, Joi’s 44-year-old wife said her husband did not like the girl spending a lot of time on social media for fear it would impact negatively on her school work.

She, however, denied the allegation that the attack was as a result of sexual abuse. She added that her husband was naturally violent and had hit the girl before over her social media usage. She also revealed that Joi had before now threatened to kill all the family members as he was jealous and paranoid that she would return to her former lover. She said her daughter is recovering in hospital under close medical supervision.Police said the husband had earlier been declared wanted under a court-issued arrest warrant in relation to a murder case in Trang’s Muang district on August 14, 2007.

Which one do you pickup first in morning...?

Little Bob went with his mom to church every Sunday. One morning in the middle of the service Bob complained that he was feeling a bit queasy and was afraid he was going to puke. “No problem dear,” whispered his Mom in his ear, “just head on over to the bathroom on the other side of the Church, and take care of it there.” Thirty seconds later Bob came back. “Did you go to the bathroom?” question his Mom. “No need” responded Bob. “Right outside the door was a big box with a sign next to it ‘for the sick’, so I just did it in there!”

TRUTH ABOUT SMOKING...

Smoking causes damage to nearly every organ in the body and is directly responsible for a number of diseases.
Every year, more than 480,000 people die in the United States (U.S.) due to tobacco-related diseases. That is around 1 in 5 of all deaths in the U.S. annually. It is estimated that 1 in 2 smokers will die from a smoking-related disease.
Smoking causes more deaths in the U.S. each year than the following combined:
  • alcohol use
  • firearm-related incidents
  • HIV
  • illegal drug use
  • motor vehicle incidents
Smoking shortens the life of a male by about 12 years and the life of a female by around 11 years.
Two poisons in tobacco that affect peoples' health are:
  • Carbon monoxide is found in car exhaust fumes and is fatal in large doses. It replaces oxygen in the blood and starves organs of oxygen and stops them being able to function properly.
  • Tar is a sticky, brown substance that coats the lungs and affects breathing.

Northern California death

As the number of people confirmed dead in Northern California fires rose to 11, officials are hoping that lesser winds Tuesday will allow firefighters to get a handle on the blazes that have ravaged upwards of 100,000 acres.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department confirmed late Monday night that one person in the county had died, according to Cal Fire spokesman Daniel Berlant. The majority of the fatalities are from Sonoma County, where huge swaths of the city of Santa Rosa were leveled in flames from the Tubbs fire  seven people died in Sonoma County, two in Napa, and one in Mendocino County, Berlant said.

Red flag warnings in effect throughout much of Northern California have expired as of Tuesday morning, Berlant said. Winds of up to 50 miles per hour Sunday night had helped spread flames.
“Overnight the wind that had fanned these fires had really decreased, and that gave us an opportunity to really take a stand against these fires,” Berlant said early Tuesday. “We are again today hoping to see very little wind compared to Sunday.”

Marital Bliss Joke

“So Grandpa” asked Dave at his engagement party “your marriage to Grandma is legendary everyone talks about how you two get along so well and never fight, what’s the secret to your marital success?”

“Well” said Grandpa Joe after taking a deep puff on his cigar “it all started on the way home from our wedding, we hadn’t gone but a mile when the horse started giving us trouble I gave the horse a little whip and that’s when I heard your Grandma say in a low voice “that’s strike one.” A bit later the horse stopped again “that’s strike two” she said. The third time it stopped she grabbed my shotgun out of my holster and shot it in the head.

I was in shock! “What in the world was that all about?” I had protested at the time. “That’s strike one!” she said back to me. “And that is what I owe our marital success to.

FUNNY TELEMARKETER

Listen a job is a job, we all need to find away to put bread on the table don’t we? To make a long story short I’m a telemarketer that’s my job and that’s what I do.

It’s not a job everyone appreciates, but it’s a job I enjoy and am proud of.

The other day I called a house and a real nice lady answered the phone, she was really helpful and friendly, she was the type of lady that helps a telemarketer get through a long day. After some pleasantries I asked if Mr. Smith was in, “I’m sorry”, she answered “I’m afraid he doesn’t live here anymore.”

Now that was a real disappointment being that she was a nice lady and all, but I took it all in a stride, “I’m sorry to hear that ma’am. Do you happen to have his new number.”

“Sure thing!” The woman cheerfully replied, listing off his new number.

I hung up the phone and quickly called the new number and was surprised to hear a recording.

“Thank you for calling Green Acres Cemetery…”

FRIENDLY POLITICIAN JOKE HAHA.....

As a popular local politician I always try to help out whenever I can. So that’s how it came to be that when a fellow came up to me in a hotel lobby the other day and asked me for a small favor I was more then happy to oblige.

“Hi,” said the fellow, introducing himself as Bob Smith. “I’m having a very important business meeting in a few minutes, and it’s very important that I impress them . If you can just come over during our meeting and say hello I would be forever indebted to you!

” So that’s how a few minutes later, I found myself walking over to the fellow with a big smile on my face, “Hi Bob!” I said.

“I barely got the words out of my mouth when Bob looked up with an annoyed expression, “DON’T BOTHER ME NOW CHRIS. CAN’T YOU SEE I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF AN IMPORTANT MEETING?!
