They say that matches are made in
heaven and for everyone, they have created someone. But

Next up at number 9 are Paulo Gabriel da Silva
Barros and Katyucia Hoshino. Someone has rightfully said that great things come
in small packages. Paulo and Katyucia, both of whom stand at 2’9” tall, with
Katyucia just merely tall by few centimetres, met on social media and fell in
love and have been going strong for more than eight years now. After getting
engaged, their goal now is to have a wedding. This Brazilian couple also holds
the record of being the shortest couple in the world with a combined height of
5’8”.
2. Liu Ye & Liu Ye
Coming in at number 8 on our list is Liu Ye, who is married
to, wait a second, Liu Ye! Yes, you read that right. And its not someone
marrying someone who shares his name. It is actually about a man who married
himself. This Chinese man married himself in a ceremony in which he also
exchanged vows with a cardboard copy of himself. Wow! Looks like someone took
the phrase of loving oneself too seriously.
3. Sultan Kosen & Merve Dibo
Love comes in all shapes and sizes, right? And here’s to
prove that correctly is our next couple Sultan Kosen and Merve Dibo. Sultan, who has put his name in the
Guinness Book of World Records for being the tallest person on Earth, standing
at 8’2”, married his sweetheart Merve Dibo, who stands at 5’9”. Sultan, who in
himself is a very shy man, found it difficult to find a suitable woman for
himself, until he found Merve. Although initially the couple found themselves
not getting the support of Merve’s family due to Sultan’s appearance, they
stood by each other to defy every odd and be together.
4. Jayla Cooper & Jose Griggs
Although at first glance, the couple at number 6 on our list
may seem very disturbing as it seems to glorify child marriage, but one closer
look, the whole story changes. When snine-year-old Jayla Cooper was diagnosed
with Leukaemia in its terminal stage, the biggest disappointment she faced was
the fact that she may not live longer to be a bride and wear a white dress and
walk down the aisle. Well, her family had other plans to fulfil her last wish.
They hosted a marriage for Jayla where she married her seven-year-old friend
Jose Griggs, a Leukaemia survivor, whom she befriended while her stay at the
Children’s Medical Hospital in Dallas. Although their marriage was merely
symbolical, it served to put a smile on Jayla, who ultimately passed away, but
not before having her last wish fulfilled probably.
Davecat & Sidore Kuroneko
Grabbing a spot for themselves in the top five of our list of
10 Weirdest couples you won’t believe actually exists are Davecat & Sidore
Kuroneko. Davecat, a robot fan married a synthetic robot doll named Sidore
Kuroneko. He claims that it is a matter of time until more and more people took
up this synthetic option. He has also kept a mistress doll for himself, named
Elena Vostrikova, who gives company to Sidore when he is at work. He has also
claimed that the dolls Sidore and Elena are bisexuals and are also each other’s
girlfriends. Well, weird it may seem, but as long as he is happy, who is anyone
else to comment?
